Odisha govt to formulate model policy for industries


Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to formulate a model policy to resolve the problems faced by the industries due to the lockdown for COVID-19.

The government will hold discussions regarding the problems faced by the industries with Chamber of Indian Industries, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Banks as early as possible.

Talks have already been started to attract more investments from Japan, Korea and America.

This was revealed at the review meeting held by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on COVID-19 situation in the state.

The meeting also decided to enhance credit assistance to the farmers and Self Help Groups.  

Besides, agriculture works, industrial operation, livelihood activities and transportation would be normalised in Green Zones.

Special attention shall be given to Ganjam, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balangir, Jajpur, and Balasore districts from where the number of migrant workers working in other states are more.
