Odisha reports highest single-day spike in COVID-19 cases

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Thursday reported the highest single-day spike with 20 more persons testing positive for Covid-19.

17 from Ganjam and three from Mayurbhanj tested positive for Covid-19 increasing the number of infected persons in Odisha to 205, said the health department.

Mayurbhanj became the 18th district to report the coronavirus infection. All of the 20 cases have been identified as Surat returnee. They have been put in 14-day quarantine in various government-run medical centres.
