Odisha govt extends quarantine period to 28 days


Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday extended quarantine period to 28 days for all returnees from other states.

The 28 days quarantine period includes 21 days institutional quarantine and subsequent 7 days home quarantine, informed Subroto Bagchi, Odisha government’s spokesperson on COVID-19.

Returnees will stay at institutional quarantine for 21 days and home quarantine for next 7 days. CCTVs will be installed at quarantine centres. And, Sec-144 will be imposed in areas surrounding the quarantine centres, said Bagchi.

He said 10 days of work with Rs 150 per day will be given to people intending to do work at quarantine centres across Odisha.
