Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported 83 Covid-19 cases on Sunday taking the total tally of confirmed cases in the state to 377.
With this, the number of active cases in the state reached 306. The number of patients recovered stands at 68 and three have succumbed to the disease, said the Health & Family Welfare Department.
Angul district reported its first 15 cases and Boudh registered 3 maiden cases on Sunday. With this, Covid-19 has spread its tentacles to 21 districts of the state.
Meanwhile, a 7-member team led by Director, Health Services, with representatives from WHO and ICMR-RMRC has been sent to Ganjam for strengthening containment, surveillance and medical response.
MKCG Medical College & Hospital, Berhampur is also supplementing the local administration.
Notably, Ganjam district has reported 125 positive cases for coronavirus.
A total of 3193 Odia people have returned to Odisha on Sunday. So far, 55,916 Odias have returned to Odisha. Returnees are coming by train/bus and other vehicles.
