Singing Bande Utkal Janani: Odisha CM speaks to opposition leaders

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday spoke to leaders of various political parties seeking their support to recite Bande Utkal Janani on May 30 at 5.30 pm to encourage COVID warriors.

He spoke to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, state BJP president Sameer Mohanty, OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik, state Samajwadi party president Rabi Behera and others.

The Chief Minister sought their cooperation in boosting the morale of Covid warriors.

Every Odia should sing it to inspire them, the CM added.

Earlier, Patnaik appealed all Odia brothers and sisters residing across the globe to sing ‘Bande Utkal Janani’ at 5.30PM on May 30 to encourage and respect COVID warriors whose sacrifice is unmatched and unparalleled.

The Chief Minister said that such a gesture will inspire to strengthen our determination.

There may be more difficult road ahead and this will empower us to successfully contain the challenge and to work with new resolution, he added.
