Odisha reports one more COVID-19 death


Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Sunday reported its ninth COVID-19 death after a 55-year-old male patient of Ganjam district succumbed to the virus, informed the state health and family welfare department.

The patient passed away while he was under treatment in hospital. He was suffering from Tuberculosis and other comorbidities.

“Regret to inform that a 55 year old male patient of Ganjam, who had tested positive for Covid, has passed away, while under treatment in hospital. He was suffering from Tuberculosis and other comorbidities,” tweeted the health department.

As many as 75 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Odisha in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 2856 in the state.
