54 more NDRF/ODRAF/Fire Service personnel test COVID positive

Bhubaneswar: 54 more ODRAF, NDRF and Fire Services personnel, who have recently returned from West Bengal after Amphan duty, tested positive for coronavirus in Odisha, said the health department on Thursday.

A total of 136 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported in Odisha in last 24 hours.

Of the 136 cases, 54 are from National Disater Response Force (NDRF), Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and Odisha Fire Services.

With this, total 116 ODRAF/NDRF/Fire Services personnel were infected with novel coronavirus in Odisha.

The total number of affected persons has increased to 3386, of which 1092 are active cases and 2282 recovered cases so far. Nine people have died of the disease.
