Brown sugar worth Rs 70 lakh seized in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Friday seized 706 grams of brown sugar worth about Rs 70 lakh during a raid in Jatni area of Bhubaneswar.

The police also arrested two persons in this conncetion.

The accused have been identified as Soumyaranjan Baliarsingh (25) and Ranjit Kumar Nayak (45).

Police have also seized one Ford Figo car and a scooty from the accused.

Police said they are being further interrogated to ascertain the involvement of other associates in the drug peddling racket.
