ASI caught while taking bribe in Kalahandi

Bhubaneswar: The sleuths of Vigilance caught a police official red-handed while taking bribe from a local in Odisha’s Kalahandi district.

The sleuths of Vigilance caught ASI Malay Rana of Mahulpatna Police Outpost under Thuamul Rampur Police Station while he was receiving bribe amount of Rs 5,000 to release a tractor on Friday.

ASI Rana had demanded Rs 5,000 from Maheswar Sagar to release his tractor that was seized from an accident site.

After receiving a complaint from Sagar, the Vigilance laid a trap to catch the corrupt police official red-handed.
