SC allows holding Rath Yatra in Puri with conditions

Bhubaneswar: The Supreme Court on Monday allowed conducting Rath Yatra in Puri under certain conditions on Tuesday.

The three-judge bench of the Supreme Court headed by CJI SA Bobde allowed the annual Rath Yatra to be held at Puri’s Jagannath temple.

Puri Rath Yatra will be held in coordination between Temple committee, state and central government without compromising the health issue.

The order of the court with detailed instructions will be released soon.

The apex court also asked the Odisha Government to take necessary precautions while holding the annual chariot festival amid COVID-19 regulations.
