Bhubaneswar: Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) in Ganjam district will remain shutdown for four days starting on June 27 (Saturday) in view of rising COVID-19 positive cases, informed district collector Vijay Amruta Kulange on Thursday.
He said shutdown ordered from June 27 for 4 days to facilitate active tracing and surveillance amid rising COVID19 cases.
70 health teams have been formed for door to door surveillance.
Only essential services relating to health and milk distribution will continue during the period, said Kulange.
Since Odia migrants have returned to Ganjam in large numbers, the COVID-19 positive cases have increased, he added.
