COVID-19: Ganjam bans movement of vehicles


Berhampur: In view of rising COVID-19 cases, the Ganjam district administration has banned the movement of vehicles in the district till July 31.

It, however, said vehicular movement in connection with agriculture, goods and health purposes will be allowed.

Movement of two-wheelers will be allowed with authentic I-card only.

“No vehicles please till 31 July. Except agriculture, goods and health purposes, all vehicles movement banned in Ganjam from 1st July. Please cooperate. All r requested not to leave their place & not to travel more than 1 km. Senior citizens must stay at home,” tweeted District Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.

He also requested the people not to leave their houses and not to travel more than one KM.

 “Please don’t travel if not an emergency. Stay at home or at your workplace only. Avoid outside food as there are chances of social distancing violations. Don’t put your life at risk,” the Collector tweeted.
