Don’t bring workers from outside state: BMC


Bhubaneswar: In order to ensure public safety and to contain the spread of COVID-19 virus, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has asked the business organisations not to bring labourers from outside the state till July 31.

The BMC asked the business houses like industrial, construction, hotels/hospitality, contractors (Both Government and Private) not to bring any worker/labourer from outside the state to its jurisdiction area till 31st July 2020.

They are advised to utilize the locally available resources for the time being.

In case some business establishments have brought workers/labourers from outside the state in the mean time, they should ensure their quarantine for 14 days from the date of arrival positively.

In case some of them develop any symptom, then their test should be conducted by the business owner at their own cost and they should inform BMC about the result.

BMC has issued an order to this effect.
