Two ICICI Bank branches, RTO office closed in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday shut two branches of ICICI Bank and RTO office located in Acharya Vihar after COVID-19 cases were detected.

The BMC has closed ICICI Bank, Cuttack Road Branch and Sales Section of ICICI Bank, Bhubaneswar Main Branch, near Sriya Talkies.

“As a precautionary measure & larger public interest after detection of 15 positive cases ICICI Bank, Cuttack Road Branch & Sales Section of ICICI Bank, Bhubaneswar Main Branch, near Sriya Talkies has been closed by BMC,” tweeted BMC.

The BMC closed the RTO-1 office after four of its employees tested positive for the virus.

After detection of two positive cases, the BMC also closed Gati Godown at Nakhara.

On the other hand, the BMC closed the office of software sompany Tech Mahindra for violation of COVID19 standard operating procedures (SOP).

“After detection of 7 positive cases within a week, BMC today closed Software Company Tech Mahindra for violation of #COVID19 SOP. The company didn’t follow the quarantine guidelines after detection of positive case of an employee. Now all the employees in contact are quarantined,” the corporation tweeted.
