Odisha allows home isolation for Covid-19 patients in urban areas


Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday allowed home isolation for Covid-19 patients with no symptom and mild symptoms with compliance to certain health protocols.

The home isolation facilities will be available in all 114 ULBs including district headquarters, sub-divisional headquarters and block headquarters in the first phase, said Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy.

The government also allowed corporates, institutions, establishments, NGOs, agencies, resident welfare associations with adequate health care facilities to keep their own members, employees and workers with COVID-19 infection in isolation with certain conditions.

Apartments, religious bodies, PSUs, corporates will be allowed to house asymptomatic/mild symptom Covid-19 positive patients in Odisha. Besides, CAPFs, Railways and Airports can run COVID care centres for their own members who may test positive.
