Odisha’s Covid-19 cases cross 17k mark with 736 new cases

Bhubaneswar: The Covid-19 positive cases have crossed 17,000 mark with the detection of as many as 736 cases in the last 24 hours, informed the health department on Sunday.

The total COVID-19 infectees in Odisha rose to 17,437.

Out of the new cases, 481 were reported in quarantine centres and 255 are local contact cases.

The highest positive cases were reported from the corona hotspot Ganjam with 247 detections, followed by 107 in Khordha, 47 in Koraput and 40 in Jagatsinghpur.

Odisha has 5381 active cases and 11,937 recoveries.
