Odisha reports 647 new COVID-19 positive cases

Bhubaneswar: As many as 647 new COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Odisha in the last 24 hours, taking the total number to 18,757 in the state, informed the health department on Tuesday.

Out of the fresh cases, 431 were reported from quarantine centres and 216 are local contact cases.

The highest positive cases were detected from the corona hotspot Ganjam with 225 detections, followed by 84 in Cuttack, 68 in Khordha and 47 in Rayagada district.

Odisha has 5715 active cases while 12,909 people have recovered so far.
