Gaming app PUBG ban in India likely


New Delhi: The government is likely to ban PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) in India, according to reports.

Reports said the government has prepared a list of over 250 Chinese app which include apps linked to Alibaba and some top gaming applications like PUBG.

The government on Monday banned 47 more Chinese apps that were clones of the earlier banned apps including TikTok Lite, Helo Lite, ShareIt Lite, Bigo Lite and VFY Lite.

Earlier, India had banned 59 apps with Chinese links including hugely popular TikTok app for engaging in activities that are “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity” of the country.
