Odisha: Fine up to Rs 10,000 for violation of Covid guidelines

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday decided to impose penalties up to Rs 10,000 for violation of Covid-19 guidelines in the state.

Penalties for violation of mask guidelines hiked to Rs 1,000 for first two violations and Rs 5,000 for subsequent violations, informed Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy.

Violation of social distancing norms in marriages and at commercial establishments will attract Rs 10,000 fine, he added.

Besides, the government will seal the premises.
