Weekly markets will remain closed in Angul district

Angul: In view of the rise in COVID-19 cases, all weekly haats/markets will remain closed in Odisha’s Angul district till August 31.

The district administration, in an official order, said all shops in the district shall remain open from 07.00 AM to 02.00 PM from Monday to Friday.

Shops shall be sealed by the authorities if shopkeepers fail to maintain social distancing, the order said.

The district has so far witnessed 330 COVID-19 positive cases and two deaths.
