KALIA Yojana New List 2022

Refund process of KALIA assistance kept in abeyance

Bhubaneswar: Refund process of KALIA Yojana assistance from ineligible beneficiaries has been kept in abeyance, informed an official on Sunday.

The Odisha government has taken the decision in view of the ongoing Covid-19 situation and Kharif agricultural crop operations.

“It has been decided to keep the refund activities of KALIA assistance from ineligible beneficiaries in abeyance, for the present,” said Agriculture director in a letter.

The director asked the chief district agriculture officers to inform the field extension functionaries accordingly.

In July, the state government had asked the ineligible beneficiaries to return the money availed under Kalia Yojana.

The government has asked around 50,000 people to return the money through a dedicated govt account number.

About 51 lakh beneficiaries have availed assistance under KALIA Yojana in Odisha.
