56,000 school teachers to get promotion by Aug end

Bhubaneswar: School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Monday informed that 56,000 Odisha school teachers will be granted promotion by end of August this year.

All pending promotions will be cleared by the end of August, he added.

Last year, the state cabinet had approved the restructuring of Odisha Elementary Education Service Cadre to give more promotional opportunities to the teachers and headmasters working in Elementary Education Service.

The restructuring will provide scope for at least three promotions to the teachers.

New posts of Senior Teacher, Graduate Teacher and Senior Headmaster of Primary Schools have been created and the number of posts of Headmasters of Upper Primary Schools has been increased.
