Vigilance arrests Revenue special secretary

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Thursday arrested Revenue and Disaster Management Department Special Secretary Ajay Kumar Das on charges of possessing disproportionate assets.

The vigilance sleuths had on Wednesday carried out raids at different locations in connection with a disproportionate assets case.

They conducted searches at Das’ house in Tankapani Road, flat in Patia, outhouse in Nuagaon and a two-storey building in Balasore.

The Vigilance sleuths also traced two flats in Bhubaneswar and another flat in Puri, belonging to Das.

The total disproportionate assets of the senior bureaucrat detected so far have been calculated as Rs 3 crore, said Vigilance sources.
