Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported a record surge of 3682 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours, taking the state’s total positive tally to 94668.
Of the new cases, 2241 were reported from quarantine centres while 1441 were local contacts, informed the health department on Friday.
Khurdha district recorded highest 775 positive cases.
The Covid-19 death toll increased to 456 as eight more patients succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours.
While two patients died in Khordha district, Ganjam district registered two more fatalities. One each case was reported from Bhadrak, Balangir, Bargarh and Rayagada districts.
