Odisha records 3631 more Covid positive cases


Bhubaneswar: As many as 3631 more persons in Odisha tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s tally to 1,13,411, informed the health department on Thursday.

The Covid-19 death toll in Odisha rises to 522 as eight more people from the state have succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

Of the fresh cases, 2214 positives were from quarantine and 1417 were local contacts.

The highest 722 positive cases were reported from Khordha, followed by 370 in Cuttack and 365 in Mayurbhanj.

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 28,763. A total of 84,073 patients have recovered in the state so far.
