Bhubaneswar: Odisha Higher Education department on Monday asked the colleges in the state to allow admission of students to Plus III streams without original certificates.
Students can submit downloaded mark sheets with undertaking during the admission commencing on September 29.
In a letter, the department asked Principals of all degree colleges to allow the students for the admission with self-attested downloaded marksheet and undertaking.
“Due to COVID-19 pandemic, there is disruption in supplying of original certificates, mark sheets, migration certificates, etc. to the students passing out from CHSE during 2019-20. As a result, they may fail to show original certificates for verification at the time of admission,” said the letter.
It also said that colleges/universities should not insist the students to handover the original Migration Certificates, passing from CHSE, other Boards, such as CBSE/ICSE etc.
Students shall submit an undertaking to the Principal/Admission-ln Charge to show the Original Certificates and Mark Sheets within 12 days from the date of admission for first selection students and 5 days for second selection students and for migration certificates/caste certificates/OHPH certificates, one month from the date of admission, failing which, their admission shall be cancelled.
