Bhubaneswar: The sale of vehicles in September has grown by 22% over the figures of August in Odisha, informed the State Transport Authority (STA) on Saturday.
The state recorded sale of 49 thousand number of vehicles in September.
After lifting of partial lockdown, the vehicle sales had remained almost 43 thousand in June, 40 thousand in July and 40 thousand in August.
About 4.8 thousand vehicles have been registered under transport category and about 44 thousand vehicles have been registered under non transport category.
Two wheelers constitute the major sales with 36 thousand numbers. 4257 number of cars have been sold during September.
The sale of tractors stood at 1569.
With the festive season of Dushera and Diwali in October and November, the sale is expected to go up further.
