Unlock 6.0: Local admin to decide on reopening of religious places


Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government issued guidelines for unlock 6.0 on Saturday.

The government left it to the district administrations and municipal commissioners to decide on reopening temples, mosques and churches in their jurisdiction for public worship by assessing the local situation.

Marriage related gatherings will be allowed with a maximum ceiling of 200 persons and funeral related gatherings with a maximum ceiling of 50 persons.

Wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing and provision of thermal screening, use of hand wash and sanitiser will be mandatory.

The government also decided to keep cinema halls, entertainment complexes and swimming pools closed for now and review the situation again on November 16.
