Fresh 1709 Covid-19 cases in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Covid-19 positive cases increased to 2,91,825 in Odisha with the detection of 1709 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, informed a health official on Sunday.

The death toll due to Coronavirus climbed to 1331 as eleven covid positive patients succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours while under treatment in hospitals.

The deaths were reported from Sundargarh, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Angul, Malkangiri, Khurdha, Deogarh and Nuapada districts.

Out of the fresh cases, 985 were reported from quarantine centres while 724 are local contact cases.

With this, the active cases rose to 14692. A total of 275749 persons have recovered from the disease in the state so far.
