No change in SC/ST post-matric scholarship amount: govt

Bhubaneswar: There will be no change in the post-matric scholarship amount for poor meritorious students belonging to SC/ST categories in Odisha.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed that SC/ST students will get scholarship as per the existing provision.

The resolution of SC/ST development department on slashing of post-matric scholarship has been put on hold, informed the CMO.

The Chief Minister has also directed the department to send the file to the CMO for detailed review.

Earlier, Congress slammed the state government for slashing the post-matric scholarship amount for meritorious SC/ST students.
