Odisha reports 378 Covid positive cases, 5 deaths

Bhubaneswar: Another 378 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s total tally to 3,19,103, informed the health department on Tuesday.

Of the total fresh cases, 219 have been reported from different quarantine centres while 159 are local contact cases.

Angul recorded highest 38 fresh cases followed by Khordha (37) and Mayurbhanj (34).

The COVID-19 death toll reached to 1,744 in the state as five more patients succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

While Puri district registered 3 deaths, 1 each died in Jagatsinghpur and Khordha districts.

The number of total active cases in the state stands at 5,241 and recovered cases at 3,12,065.
