MLA Pradeep Panigrahi picked up by Crime Branch

Bhubaneswar: Expelled BJD MLA Pradeep Kumar Panigrahi was picked up by the Crime Branch on Thursday.

Panigrahy, a three time MLA from Gopalpur in Ganjam district, was expelled from BJD on Sunday for anti-people activities.

“Hon’ble MLA Dr. Pradip Kumar Panigrahi is being questioned in connection with CID CB Cyber Crime  PS case no  26/2020,” tweeted the Crime Branch.

“They informed me that my husband was being taken to Crime Branch EOW office but when I enquired, I did not find his whereabouts. I feel threat to life of my husband. If anything happens to him, CM Naveen Patnaik will only be responsible,” informed Sujata, wife of Pradeep Panigrahi.

“They are harassing us intentionally. It’s a bigger political conspiracy. They are torturing us,” she alleged.
