Bharat bandh by farmers: Odisha Congress to extend support

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha unit of Congress party on Saturday said it would extend support to the Bharat Bandh call given by the farmer organisations on December 8 in protest against the new agriculture laws by the Centre.

In a video message, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president, Niranjan Patnaik requested the people of the state to lend their support to the Bharat bandh call by farmers and make it a success.

The farmers are the backbone of the country and the Congress party is urging people to support the bandh to fight for their legitimate demands, Patnaik said.
