Odisha govt imposes night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has imposed night curfew from 10 PM on Thursday to 5AM on Friday morning across the state.

However, all essential services and movements are allowed to continue during curfew hours.

The government requested the public to cooperate.

“Govt of Odisha imposing Night curfew from 10pm of tonight to 5AM tomorrow morning across the state. General public requested to cooperate. All essential services& movements are allowed to continue during curfew hours,” tweeted Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena.

Notably, the state government has prohibited congregation in public places for zero night celebration and similar other function on December 31 and January 1 across the state in view of Covid-19 pandemic.

Congregation in public places including hotel, restaurants, club, parks, convention centres and Kalyan Mandap for zero Night celebration/ Welcome to New Year and similar other functions is prohibited.
