VP, PM, CM condole loss of lives in Koraput road accident


Bhubaneswar: Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik have expressed grief over the death of nine persons as a pick-up van overturned in Kotpad area of Koraput district on Sunday evening.

“Saddened to learn about the loss of lives in an accident in Koraput district, Odisha. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured,” tweeted the Vice-President.

The Prime Minister said on Twitter, “My thoughts are with all those who have lost their dear ones in the tragic accident at Koraput, Odisha. I hope those injured recover at the earliest.”

The Odisha Chief Minister tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the loss of precious lives in the road accident near Kotpad in Koraput district. My condolences are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief. Pray for the speedy recovery of all the injured.”
