Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Sunday directed to ensure strict implementation of COVID-19 guidelines in view of fresh spike in the number of positive cases in some states in the country.
Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has written a letter to all district collectors, SPs and municipal commissioners to ensure strict implementation of COVID-19 norms in public places, educational institutions, offices, hotels, restaurants and other places.
Wearing of masks has been made mandatory, the SRC said.
It directed that district and police authorities shall check and ensure strict observance of COVID-19 safety protocols such as mandatory wearing of mask, maintaining physical distancing in all public places including work places and educational institutions.
Large congregations must be avoided. Crowd size in marriages, other social/ religious functions, sports, entertainment/ academic/ cultural/ any other gathering/ congregations will be monitored.
