Odisha Budget 2021-22: Rs 1800 crore outlay for KALIA Yojana


Bhubaneswar: Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari on Monday presented the annual budget for 2021-22 in the Odisha Assembly.

Pujari presented a separate agriculture budget of Rs 17,469 crore.

Rs 1800 crore has been allocated for KALIA Yojana, which was launched in 2019 for the benefit of small and marginal farmers and landless agriculture labourers.

To further boost irrigation potential in Odisha, Rs 8,266 crore has been allocated for water resources in the Odisha Budget 2021. The major outlay is for mega lift irrigation projects, construction of in-stream storage structures, flood control & drainage work.

The Budget has made allocation of Rs 17,469 crore for agriculture & allied activities, including Rs 1800 crore for KALIA scheme, Rs 106 crore for millet mission and Rs 1415 crore for fisheries and animal resources development.
