Rotary Club Bhubaneswar observes International Women’s Day

Bhubaneswar: The Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar observed International Women’s Day in collaboration with the Institute of Hotel Management, Bhubaneswar.

President Sabita Swain delivered the welcome address.

Keynote address was given by Sharada Ghosh, Principal IHM. Rtn.Kasturi Patnaik spoke on Women’s Day stressing on what usually happens & what needs to be done.

An audio-visual depicting our deep-rooted cultural heritage & illustrious women of the soil was presented by PP Suvendu Parida.

The Past District Governorn and DLCC Rtn Sibabrata Dash was the Chief Guest.

Dash blessed the young girls & praised the work done by women. International Women’s Day was heralded by the Rotarians.

On this occasion, the Rotary Club felicitated Dutee Chand, renowned sprinter & first Indian to win gold at the Universidad in 2019. The Rotary club also felicitated Lady Entrepreneur Rashmi Sahoo, M.D of the famous Ruchi Masala Group.

The second session had Elocution Competition between the students of IHM.

In the evening, Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar had a small cultural show by the Lady Rotarians of the Club. Rtn Madhumita Chand spoke about Women’s Day & contribution of Lady Rotarians as well as women in general to society.
