Website of Orissa State Badminton Association launched


Bhubaneswar: The website of Orissa State Badminton Association (OSBA) was launched by Sports MinisterTusharkanti Behera.

OSBA President Rohit Pujari, honorary secretary Nileen Kumar and dignitaries from other districts were present.

The Minister welcomed the step of OSBA and appreciated the website for its detailed information and user friendly structure.

He said that this type of initiative will help the badminton fraternity to get get updated transparent information. 

He also said that Government is taking every step possible to create a eco-system for all sports as per the Chief Minister’s vision to make Odisha the sports capital of India.

 Out of 13 High Performance Centres coming up in Kalinga Stadium, there is also a Pullela Gopichand Badminton HPC coming up which shall be a premier facility in the country to create world class players.

He also informed that the sports department will be constructing 150 odd indoor facilities all across Odisha in next two years.

OSBA President Rohit Pujari said that OSBA will take all steps needed to give players quality coaching and tournament structure.

OSBA Secretary informed that the website will have online players state ID registration and tournament entry system.

It shall also have a dynamic ranking chart of all the age group players apart from other information.OSBA shall also host Sub-Junior U13 National Championships in November at Balangir & National Junior (U19 Yrs) Ranking Tournament in February 2022.
