NNKS observes Odisha bandh for farmers’ cause

Congress extends support to Bharat Bandh on March 26

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha unit of Congress party has decided to support the Bharat Bandh called by the farmers in protest against the three farm laws enacted by the Centre.

The day marks the completion of four months of protests against the legislation at the borders of Delhi, which started on November 26.

“We support the farmer unions’ call for a countrywide strike tomorrow and have directed all the district presidents of the party to help farmers make it a success,” said OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik.

During this time all road and rail transport, markets and other public places will be closed across the country.

The state government declared closure of school, colleges and universities due to Bharat Bandh.
