Odisha seeks 15 lakh doses of Covishield immediately

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government once again requested the Centre to provide at least 15 lakh doses of Covishield to the state immediately.

Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra wrote to Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan seeking 15 lakh doses immediately, in view of the surge in cases and impending heat wave.

Mohapatra highlighted acute shortage of vaccine.

Odisha is vaccinating over 2 lakh persons daily.
