CM directs Collectors to handover unused govt assets to SHGs

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has issued directions to the district Collectors that all unutilised government assets (buildings, shops, ponds) in districts, blocks and panchayats shall be transferred to self-help groups under Mission Shakti within 2 months.

All such unused government property in the block, panchayat and district levels should be handed over to the local Mission Shakti SHGs within 2 months, the Chief Minister said.

These will be used for the area’s socio-economic development.

Patnaik said the empowerment of women has always been the priority of the state government.
