Bhubaneswar: 1,374 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in Odisha in the last 24 hours, the highest single-day spike this year, while the death toll rose to 1926, informed the health department on Saturday.
Two deaths were reported in the last 24 hours in the state.
Of the fresh detected from 29 districts, 812 are quarantine cases while remaining 562 are local contact cases.
Sundargarh district recorded the highest 355 positive cases followed by Khordha district (193) and Nuapada district (135).
With this, the state’s total caseload surged to 3,48,182. The active cases in the state stood at 7,003.
