Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported 2267 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths in the last 24 hours, informed the health department on Wednesday.
Three persons died of COVID-19 while undergoing treatment in hospitals, taking the toll to 1,933.
The deceased have been identified as a 43-year-old man of Bolangir district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, a 72-year-old man of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Carcinoma Stomach, Hypertension and Coronary Artery Disease, and a 32-year-old man of Jajpur district who was also suffering from Sickle cell Disease.
Out of the fresh 2267 cases, 1314 were detected in quarantine while 953 are local contact cases.
Sundargarh reported the highest 458 cases.
With this, the COVID-19 tally in Odisha surged to 355353 with 12244 active cases.
