10th, +2 exams postponed in Odisha


All schools and hostels will remain closed from Monday

Bhubaneswar: The annual Matric examinations (Class-10 exams) conducted by the Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) and +2 examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) for the year 2021 have been postponed in view of the rising COVID-19 cases.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday announced about the cancelation of HSC exam and Plus Two exam.

The Class XII examinations were scheduled to start on May 18 and Class X examinations on May 3. The decision on the examinations will be taken once the Covid-19 situation improves.

The Central Government has already cancelled the CBSE Class-10 examinations and postponed the CBSE Class-12 examinations for this year due to the COVID-19 situation.
