Home delivery of liquor during lockdown in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Excise department has sought permission from the Odisha government to allow home delivery of liquor during the lockdown, which will continue till May 19.

Excise secretary SK Lohani has submitted a proposal to the Special Relief Commissioner regarding home delivery of liquor in the state.

Home delivery of liquor by duly authorized food aggregators/technology platforms/delivery service providers as well as IMFL OFF/ON shop licensees will be permitted following the extant guidelines of the Excise department issued on 23 May 2020.

Permission has been sought for free movement of vehicles belonging to authorized agencies carrying genuine duty paid liquor and operation of all godowns of Beverage Corporation for wholesale trade between 6 am to 2 pm.
