Odisha govt includes Forest, Banking, Railway as frontline workers

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has included Forest, Banking, Insurance, Railway, Filling Station, Call Centre, Childline, Oxygen Plant staff, Government Veterinary Doctors, Livestock Inspectors and Para veterinarians as frontline workers for Covid-19 vaccination.

Additional Chief Secretary (Health) PK Mohapatra informed that the State Steering Committee held on May 6 has approved in-principle for inclusion of the following categories of staff as Frontline Workers (FLWs) for Covid-19 vaccination:

Forest Officials & Forest guards

Banking Staff/Insurance Companies/NCPI, Payment System providers/Operators/Vendors/Cash Logistic Companies/ATM maintenance personnel, Banking Correspondence & Customer Care Points

Railway Staff

Staff of DCPU, Staff of Childline (1098), Staff of 181 Helpline, Staff of One Stop Centres and all caregivers staff of child care institutions

Oxygen Plant employees

Filling Station employees and Call Centre employees

Government Veterinary Doctors, Livestock Inspectors and Para-veterinarians
