Covid-19: Odisha fixes hiring charges of ambulance services


Bhubaneswar: In view of Covid-19, the Odisha government has fixed hiring charges of various types of ambulances operated by private hospitals and private operators in the state.

The Transports Department has issued a notification in this regard on Monday.

According to the notification, small category of ambulances like Maruti Omni, Tata Magic and Maruti Eco etc. will charge Rs 750 up to 10 kilometres of distance.

Similarly, small ambulances with basic life support facilities will charge Rs 1,000 up to the same distance and Rs 30 per additional kilometres, the notification said.

Medium category of ambulances will charge Rs 1,000 up to the distance of 10 kilometres. Similarly medium ambulances with basic life support system facilities will charge Rs 1,500 up to the same distance.

These categories of ambulances will charge Rs 50 per additional kilometre exceeding 10 kilometres.

The notification further said that large category of ambulances will charge Rs 1250 up to 10 kilometres.

The large category ambulances with basic life support system facilities will charge Rs 2000 up to the same distance and Rs 30 per additional kilometer.
