Bhubaneswar: With a fresh low pressure brewing up in the Bay of Bengal which is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm by May 25, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Kumar Jena on Thursday directed the concerned departments to remain prepared to deal with the possible cyclone Yaas.
The departments were advised to keep manpower and machinery in readiness.
Jena held a high-level meeting with the concerned secretaries and the officials of Indian Meteorological Department.
The SRC informed that all stakeholders have already initiated advance preparations in view of the situation.
