Odisha reports highest 42 Covid death cases

Bhubaneswar: With the death of 42 Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours, Odisha recorded the highest-ever fatalities due to the disease, informed the health department on Thursday.

The deaths were reported from the districts of Bargarh, Bhadrak, Ganjam, Puri, Angul, Balasore, Bolangir, Deogarh, Gajapati, Kendrapara, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Boudh, Jharsuguda, Khordha, Cuttack, Kalahandi and Sundargarh.

With this, the total death toll now stands at 2873.

Odisha reported 8839 new Covid positive cases in the last 24 hours.
